Dragon Ball fans are surely in for some treat in the coming year as it has been confirmed that Dragon Ball: Xenoverse is already underway to be released in Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, and Playstation 3.

But confusion arises when it comes to the exact date of the release as different sources tell different details.

For one, there's Attack of the Fanboy who said in their report that "Dragon Ball Xenoverse's initial release date is set only for Japan on February 5, 2015." They also stated that Bandai Namco, the game's publisher, will release the game to other countries after the said date.

GameStop, who is now taking pre-orders, noted that the game will arrive on U.S. shelves on Dec. 31, 2015.

Setting aside launching dates, DBX was featured in the latest monthly issue of V-Jump magazine in Japan. The publication showcased numerous scans of images that confirm the arrival of new characters that are to be included in the game.

Of course, there's the favorite Super Saiyan Son Goku, who will once again fight against equally strong opponents like Vegeta, Cell, Frieza and a bunch more.

As reported by Christian Today, the plotline for the game will revolve around the player teaming up with Kai of Time and Time Patrol Trunks in an effort to prevent a mysterious force that can manipulate history.

The player then is tasked to restore and preserve the timeline.

In the promo video, which is provided below, an unknown fighter character with red hair and a Capsule Corporation logo on the sleeves appear. His identity is yet to be known.

Will he be against Goku or is he one with the adversaries?
