'Dragon Quest XI' currently expected to be officially released inside Japan within the year

The newest installment of the "Dragon Quest" franchise, "Dragon Quest XI," will soon be given its official release date.

Developers announced recently that the exact release date for the new role-playing game will be made public on April 11 inside Japan, Gematsu reported.

"Dragon quest" series creator Yuji Horii is expected to be on hand for the event and other developers are also expected to be present too.

Aside from the release date revelation, there may be other noteworthy game details that are shared on April 11.

It is worth noting that the release date that will be announced on April 11 is for Japan. Gamers in other countries hoping to play this RPG may have to wait even longer than that to find out if they too will be able to purchase this title and about when that could possibly happen.

The release date that will soon be revealed is also expected to be for the PS4 and Nintendo 3DS versions of the game. A Nintendo Switch version of the game is also in development, but that may end up getting a different release date.

Fans interested in learning about the new RPG's release date can tune into the livestream that will be broadcasted via YouTube and Niconico.

Over the past few months, developers have already revealed quite a few important details related to "Dragon Quest XI."

Several characters have been confirmed already, including the game's protagonist and the fiercely loyal and highly skilled Camus.

The game will also feature two magic users in the form of Senya and Veronica. Senya's magic spells are more for healing, while Veronica's magical arsenal is better suited for blasting and defeating enemies.

The character known as Sylvia was also confirmed for the game recently, though his abilities have not been defined just yet.
