'Dragon Quest XI' Characters: the Martial Artist Martina and the Old Man Rou

Sylvia, Senya, Veronica and Camus among previously confirmed 'Dragon Quest XI' characters

"Dragon Quest XI's" cast of characters continues to grow, with two more additions now named.

The new characters are featured in the latest issue of the Weekly Jump magazine and they are Martina and Rou.

Siliconera provided translations for the descriptions that were released along with the two names of the characters.

While the descriptions are not that lengthy, they still offer some insight into what Martina and Rou may be like inside the game.

Beginning with Martina, she is described as a "high-spirited" martial artist, though exactly how she will be fighting enemies remains unclear. In the image included, Martina is shown holding on to something that looks like a spear, but she may be just as capable of defeating monsters by using her bare hands.

It is a little tougher to gain an idea of how Rou will act inside "Dragon Quest XI," as even the description included for him notes that he is a "mysterious old man." Still, Rou's impressive moustache makes him look intimidating, and he may not be one to mess with.

Other characters have already been confirmed for the game previously.

Fans were recently introduced to Sylvia, but just like Rou, developers have yet to clearly indicate which fighting skills he will be able to use.

The magic-users Senya and Veronica will also be characters that players will become acquainted with. In the game, Senya is expected to be a spellcaster capable of providing healing for her allies, while Veronica will use magic to wipe out enemies who get in her way.

The slick and street-wise Camus will also be aiding players on their journey.

No exact release date is currently set for the PS4 and Nintendo 3DS versions of "Dragon Quest XI," but that sought after piece of information is expected to be revealed on April 11.
