Drew Barrymore News: Actress Talks Motherhood and New Tattoo

Following her recent split with Will Kopelman, Drew Barrymore has been out and about with her kids and a new ink featuring her daughters' names.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Barrymore talked about her children at the Safe Kids Day on Sunday. While she believes that she should be focusing now on her two daughters whom she shares with Kopelman, she also thinks it is best to show the kids that hard work pays.

"I think it's good to show my kids I'm passionate and have a good work ethic and that you have to earn what you have in this world," she said.

As for the lessons she has learned in life after the divorce, she said being a mother made her everything that she is today. "[Motherhood's] just made me such a better person," she explained.

Just recently she had her daughters' names tattooed on her wrist. According to The Daily Mail, she flashed the "Olive and Frankie" ink during the event in Culver City. In one of the photos obtained by the outlet during the said event, Barrymore proudly raised her right hand and waved to fans to show off her new tattoo.

Speaking to People about her new tattoo, the 41-year-old said she has been wanting to have the ink of her daughters' names on her wrist and everything happened so fast when she was headed to an appointment and the idea just popped out of nowhere.

She went on to share that she simply walked in at a tattoo shop and asked who is available to do the job. A man approached her and she wrote down her daughters' names on a piece of paper. "So, it's my handwriting," she said.

Earlier this month, Barrymore and Kopelman announced their split after three years of marriage. Though many fans were saddened, the pair iterated that they will continue to be in good terms as they raise their kids.
