DriveClub Playstation Plus Edition Servers Slowly Getting Patched, Developers Will Compensate Early Adopters in Due Time

"Driveclub" is a racing video game for the Playstation 4, developed by Evolution Studios and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game was announced during a Playstation 4 press conference last year and was released earlier this month on Oct. 7.

Playstation Plus members are able to download an exclusive edition of the game, dubbed the Playstation Plus edition for free. Naturally, it comes with all the game modes and online capabilities of the paid version but unfortunately has a limited number of cars and locations.

The Playstation Plus version was scheduled to be released on the same date as the full version of the game but was delayed due to issues regarding server load. This might be okay with those who are subscribed to the Playstation Plus service but those who paid for the exclusive edition are having qualms over the issues with the online server.

Apparently, some people are claiming that they called Playstation Support to complain about the issues and is presumably given a Driveclub Season Pass as compensation. While the offer is still to be confirmed, Paul Rustchynsky – the game's director – has revealed that early adopters will be compensated.

Evolution's continuous updates are allowing more and more players online but they still need a few more days for the updates. As a result, some online features have been disabled. The developers are still unsure when online features will be back online.

"We are sorry that we don't have more concrete news to share right now, but please be patient. We will have more information for you tomorrow," Evolution wrote on their Facebook page.

Also, it would seem that not only the players are disappointed with the launch and the server problems but the dev team as well, as Rustchynsky has revealed to fans.
