Jase Robertson, one of the stars of the hit A&E "Duck Dynasty" show, revealed that he recently got kicked out of a hotel in New York City because he was mistaken for a homeless person.
"I think it was a facial profiling deal," Robertson revealed jokingly on ABC's talk show "Live with Kelly and Michael."
"I asked where the bathroom was and he said, 'Right this way, sir.' He was very nice. He walked me outside, pointed down the road, and said, 'Good luck. Have a good day.'"
The bearded, self-proclaim "redneck" millionaire added that he and his wife still stayed at the hotel despite the incident. "He just didn't know," he said of the employee that failed to recognize him and kicked him out.
Robertson and other family members were in New York to promote the fourth Season of their hit TV show, which follows the life of his family in West Monroe, La., and their duck call making company, Duck Commander. The premiere on Wednesday hit a staggering 11.8 million viewers, making "Duck Dynasty" the most watched reality show ever on TV.
"The Robertsons represent a lot things we as Americans cherish," offered David McKillop, the general manager and executive vice president of the A&E network, "self-made wealth, independence, three generations living together."
The Robertson family, who have spoken often about their belief in God, have also been praised for creating a family-friendly show without sex, violence, and harsh language.
Earlier this week, speculation broke out that Willie Robertson, CEO of Duck Commander, was considering a run for a seat in the United States House of Representatives. In the "Live with Kelly and Michael" interview, Willie joked that he heard he is already "leading in the polls," but refused to confirm one way or another if there is any credibility to the news.
