Duke Blue Devils vs Michigan State Spartans takes place in the NCAA 2013 Sweet 16 round on Friday night in what should be an explosive encounter between two of the best college basketball teams in the nation. No. 2 seeded Duke will take on No. 3 seeded Michigan State in one of the biggest clashes in the Sweet 16 round.
The Blue Devils will be confident, having racked up extensive experience in the competition through coach Mike Krzyzewski, who has led Duke to 10 Final Four appearances, including four national championships since becoming the Blue Devils' head coach.
Meanwhile for the Spartans are also one of the more experienced sides in the NCAA of recent times. Izzo has led them to six Final Four appearances as well as one national title win.
Earlier in the tournament Duke defeated Albany and Creighton by an average of 14 points. Where as Michigan State won both their games by double-digit margins, including a 22-point demolition win agains Memphis.
The winner of this game will play the winner of the Louisville vs Oregon matchup in the East Region Finals.
Duke are one of the analysts' favorites for this year's tournament, consisting of a team full of very able players; every starter on the team averages at least 11.7 points, including Mason Plumlee and Ryan Kelly, who have a combined average of 30.9 points and 15.4 rebounds.
Duke will be slight favorites for this game, but will know if they don't bring their top game to the court tonight then Michigan State are more than capable of taking advantage.
