NBA star Dwight Howard is glorifying God for the release of his new basketball shoe with Chinese company Peak Sport.

Last week, the Atlanta Hawks' center unveiled images of his new DH2 athletic shoe with the sportswear company, tweeting: "GOD is truly good. Yesterday I unveiled my new DH2 signature shoe. I truly THANK everyone for your support. #BeGr8."

Howard debuted his new basketball shoe in Beijing, China, where Peak Sports CEO Xu Zhihua spoke about growing the brand internationally.

"With more than 20 years' experience in designing basketball gear ... Peak is accelerating its expansion worldwide," said Xu, according to the Global Times.

After cutting ties with Adidas last year, he spoke about his reason for wanting to sign on with Peak.

"I had a great run with Adidas. Peak is an up and coming company and we're really looking forward to helping them grow in the States," he said in an interview with FOX. "A brand like Peak that has an opportunity to really grow and become a global brand, it's something that the owner, myself, and everybody under him is looking forward to do."

He continued: "I am very blessed. I had a chance to meet the owner of the company in China. Even though he couldn't speak any English, we had a great conversation. He's a great guy. We all have the same goals, so I'm very excited and happy about where I'm at."
