Dwight Howard's Girlfriend Wears 'Laker Hater' Hoodie to Game, Apologizes for Stunt
Dwight Howard's girlfriend, Christine Vest, work a "Laker Hater" hoodie to the Wednesday game between the Houston Rockets and Howard's former team, the Los Angeles Lakers. After backlash from Rockets and Lakers fans alike, the singer apologized for the stunt.
Dwight Howard's girlfriend, Christine Vest, who allegedly had his child last year, was spotted at the Rockets basketball game earlier this week. Although she is usually very quiet about her relationship with the NBA superstar, she decided to show up and show out in the important game against her boyfriend's former team.
Vest seemingly had a hoodie specially made with the red letters "Laker Hater" over a camouflage pattern. Howard's name and his number, 12, were letter on the back. In addition, it showed off the red Houston Rockets logo and she showcased the sweatshirt on Instagram for her followers to see.

The blunt style of trash talk goes against the grain for Howard- he has avoided mentioning the Lakers and his troubled season there for the most part. However, some Lakers fans took the shirt a little personally, as Howard didn't leave the LA team on the best terms; even his teammate Steve Nash said Dwight "never wanted to be a Laker."
"She and Dwight deserve each other," one person commented on the Bleacher Report.
"Why would you hate your [boyfriend's] past employer when he chose to leave after they begged him to stay," angelinchains agreed. "Dwight wasn't let go. He chose to leave for a better opportunity."
After the backlash Vest took to Twitter to apologize.
"I sincerely apologize to all if the Laker [fans] that i've clearly hurt in some way by wearing a fun 'laker hater' hoodie to the game," she posted.
The Rockets beat the Lakers 113-99. Howard had 20 points and 13 rebounds.
