Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade was sure to thank God and say he was blessed after his team won the NBA championship against the San Antonio Spurs.

"Two championships in three years together is an unbelievable feat, so we're just thankful and blessed and we just thank God for giving us the ability to do it.

The Heat closed out game seven of the series with a 95-88 victory.

Wade was a major factor to the game hitting a number of huge shots throughout the night, and played Robin to Lebron James' Batman.

The 31-year-old averaged 19.5 points per game during the series, and scored 23 in game 7.

Wade also showed great sportsmanship on the court. After the game he jumped up and down in exuberance, he looked over to his left at the Spurs and stopped jumping. He then almost solemnly ran over to Spurs big-man and future Hall of Famer, Tim Duncan. Wade stopped him from walking off the court with a hug and a pat before making his way to embrace Manu Ginobili, Kawhi Leonard, and Danny Green and then the rest of the team.
Wade has this to say on Duncan.

"I mean Tim Duncan is one of the greatest players of all-time. He had a h-ll of a series," he said live in an on court post game interview. "If I'm able to do what Tim Duncan did at 37-years-old I'll be happy. That guys is a warrior, and I just wanted to pay my respects to one of the game's greats."

James was exactly the same, and in fact, did not even seem to celebrate as he immediately walked over to the Spurs players to shake hands. He then went to Spurs coach Greg Popovich to hug and share a few words as well as Duncan who he stood with for awhile.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra made a bee-line to Popovich as well, as the two smiled and shook hands. It was a great example of a mantle passing from an all-time great coach, down to a future great.
