E3 2016 - Nintendo, Sony Possible Unveilings While Microsoft Remains Obscure; The Date, Games Predictions and Schedule

Gaming Giants look to showcase wares

E3 is easily the biggest video game event of the year with thousands of gamers flocking to see what their favorite companies have in store for the upcoming year. The event gives gaming companies a chance to give their customers updates on current projects as well as give gamers firsthand experience on games not yet released on the market.

So which companies attend E3? The answer to that is simple; any of the major gaming companies that currently have projects that would garner public interest. Currently the three biggest gaming companies that attend E3 every year are Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft. IGN reports that these companies are usually joined by smaller, but still very popular companies, such as Square Enix, Bethesda, EA etc.

Nintendo looks to rebound after a shaky showing at last year's E3. Unfortunately it looks like Nintendo will be playing it more towards the safe side this year.

Nintendo will be not showcasing its new console the NX at E3, even though the company had confirmed the release date of 2017. With the release date so close to E3 many are left wondering why a playable version will not be available.

What Nintendo will be showcasing will be several games that fans have been waiting on for a long time.
The first of these games will be the next in the "Legend of Zelda" franchise. Nintendo has confirmed that there will be a live stream of game play for this title.

The biggest draw of Nintendo this year will most likely be the new "Pokemon" game entitled "Pokemon Sun and Moon." This franchise has be one of Nintendo's longest and most successful in company history.

Sony

Sony looks to build on a very solid 2015 E3 with an even better one this year. Fans are looking for updates on the bombshells Sony dropped in 2015.

However it seems that Sony will not be able to give updates on such titles like "Final Fantasy VII: HD Remake" or "Shenmue 3."

However, according to Gamespot rumors are swirling that "God of War 4" is likely to be announced by Sony. It seems that this title will be based on Norse mythology instead of Greek as the previous titles of the franchise were.

Microsoft

Out of the big three companies Microsoft is the biggest question mark. Not much is known about the company's plan about its gaming library at the moment.

There are several rumors circulating that such titles as "Gears of War 4" and a new "Forza" title are in the works but nothing is solid as of this article.

Dates for E3 2016

E3 is schedule to run from June 14 to June 18.
