The Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability has compiled a list of organizations that are currently assisting or poised to assist in massive relief efforts in Haiti following the country’s devastating 7.0-magnitude earthquake.
With “raising money for Haiti” scams already popping up following Tuesday’s massive quake, the EFCA is providing its list of nearly faith-based non-profit disaster organizations through its ServantMatch web tool to better connect concerned believers around the world to leading Christian nonprofits that have “faithfully demonstrate compliance with established standards for financial accountability, fund-raising and board governance.”
"This is an important opportunity for the Christ-centered community to pray and give generously," commented ECFA President Dan Busby.
"A host of donors will look to ECFA members as those that have been vetted and accountable to ECFA through its highly respected accreditation process," he added.
