Ed Sheeran News: Singer Talks About Advice Pal Taylor Swift Gave to Him
Ed Sheeran has been enjoying success as he is one of the most popular solo male artists in the world right now. His second album, X, was released in June and sold nearly 1.5 million as it topped the charts in the U.S., U.K., Australia, and other parts of the world.
But success hasn't gone to Sheeran's head as the singer revealed the one advice that his friend Taylor Swift and other artists have given him in an interview with "Nightline."
"The same thing Taylor said to me was the same thing Pharrell said, same thing Chris Martin said, is just the same thing: Constant humility, constant evolution, and be a sponge, soak up your influences," said Sheeran to ABC News' Juju Chang on "Nightline."

The singer has evolved from being a front act for Swift and other artists, to a bona fide star who has sold out New York City's Madison Square Garden as a solo act three times.
Sheeran also mentioned that he is more comfortable when he's the main act in a show.
"I don't really think there's pressure when people have come to see you because they want to be entertained," said the 23-year old singer.
"They're not expecting to be impressed. They come to be like, 'We like your music, play if for us' rather than, 'We've never heard of you, show us what you can do,'" he admitted.
In other news, Sheeran has recently announced that his Australian tour next year won't break the bank for his fans. According to the Daily Mail, instead of charging hundreds of dollars for a seat, Sheeran will be charging only $99 for tickets.
Promoter Michael Gudinski spoke to News.com.au and praised the singer for setting his ticket prices at a low level.
"He remembers lining up as a kid to get good tickets and believes that any fan should have the chance to get the best seats, not just the ones with the most money," said Gudinski. "I wish more artists would take this initiative."
