Pastor Ed Young of Fellowship Church in Grapevine, Texas, is set to host his annual international leadership conference known as C3 beginning Wednesday.

"I've been to conferences that talk about philosophy and theory of leadership. C3 dives in and answers the real and the raw of church leadership," said Young. "We're going to address the real life issues that leaders everywhere deal with. And we're going to equip and empower this generation of leaders and the next to leave a lasting impact on their communities."

The leadership event is aimed at helping thousands of church leaders from around the world improve their leadership skills in a series of seminars. It has been recognized as one of the most prominent church leadership conferences in the world, and tackles a number of difficult topics facing pastors and priests today. The general seminar will be combined with sessions focusing on children's ministry, assimilation programs, worship leadership, women's ministry and other areas.

"The local church should be the most innovative entity on earth," said Young. "Our goal at C3 is to help churches from around the world discover their God-given creativity and to equip them with the handles of doing ministry in real life."

On the official C3 website, where people can still register for this year's event, Young promises "a totally different experience" from previous years.

Some of the notable guests and church leaders that will be present this year include: Matthew Barnett from The Dream Center in L.A., California, David Crank from Faith Church in Missouri, Mac Richard from Lake Hills Church in Austin, Texas, and Dharius Daniels from Kingdom Church in Ewing, N.J.

Last year, Young focused the 2012 C3 three-day conference on the importance of creative inspiration in the modern church culture.

The Fellowship Church leader is famous for his many creative and engaging sermons. Most recently, he concluded a five-part series examining "What Would Jesus Say To…" various celebrities, including Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, reality show star Kim Kardashian, disgraced former cycling champion Lance Armstrong, NBA superstar LeBron James, and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.

"One of the reasons why we are so engrossed by the icons of our culture is because we would say to ourselves 'I would never do that. I would never spend my money this way; I would never travel that way, I would never have friends or date people that way.' We say these things to feel better about ourselves," Young told The Christian Post about his series. "These celebrities happen to be on our culture stage – and they are a reflection of who we are."
