The married actor, who admittedly cheated on his first wife Brandi Glanville with Rimes, reportedly contacted Scheana Marie, a Beverly Hills waitress, shortly after he and Rimes pursued their relationship, according to Radar Online.
"As months go by, Eddie gets separated. He then contacts me to go out for drinks," Scheana told Radar.
"I believed he was separated, so I was happy to go out with him again. But shortly into trying to hang out with him I find out about LeAnn, and I felt like such an idiot!" she explained.
Cibrian, 40, infamously left Glanville for Rimes, 30, in 2009 shortly after news of their affair came to light. While he has since gone on to marry Rimes, it is believed that the troubled singer was likely unaware that he was still involved with Maria, 27, during the early stages of their relationship.
On Monday viewers saw Glanville, 40, confront Marie about her affair with Cibrian on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." The "Vanderpump Rules" star insisted that she was unaware of his marital status during their relationship and she recently recalled discovering that he was married to Glanville.
"Originally, I met him 7 years ago. When a really good-looking guy with big dimples wants to take you out for drinks your first question isn't 'are you married because you don't have a ring on your finger?'" she said.
"We hung out, it was quite casual and about six months in my mom saw an article and was like, 'that Eddie guy you are dating, is his last name Cibrian and is he on 'Third Watch' I was like, 'Yeah, what do you hear?' And she told me that he and his wife are expecting their second child!" she went on.
In August it was claimed that Rimes suspected that Cibrian was having an affair shortly before entering a treatment facility for "stress and anxiety."
"LeAnn is beyond stressed about the cracks in her relationship with Eddie and she has been really scared that he is cheating on her," a source told Radar.
"LeAnn called a friend of hers a few weeks ago sobbing hysterically about Eddie going out. She was home for the weekend and he didn't stay in with her and she was crying saying that she was so worried about what he was doing when he wasn't with her," the source went on.
