Hollywood funnyman Eddie Murphy and Rocsi Diaz of BET's "106 & Park" are not an item – or at least that is what Diaz is telling us.

Diaz recently denied being 51-year-old Eddie Murphy's girlfriend in an interview with the New York Post, saying she met him during filming for the popular BET music video countdown show "106 & Park." It was the first time Murphy had been on BET even though he had been in the entertainment business for over 30 years, she noted.

"They did this whole skit with Coming to America dancers. They came out and hand rose petals going down the stairs and I'll never forget his face when the curtain came up and he was like, 'what's going on?' It was like the most confusing face he's ever had. He's a lot of fun," said the 28-year-old.

While Murphy and Diaz have been seen together at the pre-BET Awards in L.A. earlier this month and reportedly on the beach, coffee shop, and a yacht together, Diaz is dismissing the idea that they're a couple.

"A yacht?" Diaz responded when asked about being spotted on boat with the "The Nutty Professor" star. "I've never been on a yacht with Eddie Murphy. [On a beach?] I've gone to beaches but I've never been on a beach with Eddie before," she said. "We're friends."

Murphy is on Comedy Central's list of the 100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in "Dreamgirls." His hit films include "Beverly Hills Cop," "Shrek," "Dr. Dolitte," and "Metro."
