Elder Scrolls Online for Xbox One, PS4 Release Date, News: 'We Are Still Hard at Work'

Adventurers and heroes all over Tamriel need have to wait a little bit more before the much-anticipated Elder Scrolls Online would be made available for PlayStation and Xbox game consoles.

A report from KPopstarz.com indicated Elder Scrolls Online developers making an announcement on Twitter suggesting that the studio are still on it and that fans should expect for more information "soon."

"Please rest assured: we are still hard at work on the console versions of #ESO and look forward to sharing more information soon!" the tweet from Elder Scrolls Online reads.

The post was actually intended to answer a fan's inquiry about whether or not TESO for game console versions have been cancelled.

Previous reports already stated that the release of ESO for the new-gen consoles has been pushed back to 2015.

"As I've mentioned, we have been (and will continue to be) steadily working on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of ESO," ZeniMax Online Studios explained in a blog post. "They are playable and fun right now, but there's still some work to do before we can set an official launch date."

Air Herald meanwhile wrote that although Bethesda isn't quite pre-occupied with The Elder Scrolls Online for consoles, the studio is nonetheless busy updating the PC version of the MMORPG.

The publication cited a report from Game Debate with a statement:

"Update 5 for Zenimax Online Studios' MMORPG introduces the Undaunted Pledges system, which sees the titular NPC guild hand out dungeon quests to warriors who make it to level 45 without taking an arrow to the knee, and offers special loot as a reward."

"One dungeon pledge can be completed per day, with optional side-objectives for better loot, before you can return to the enclave to collect a key of bronze, silver or gold, depending on your performance," the site added.
