'Elementary' Season 4 Episode 23 Spoilers: All Clues Lead Back to Sherlock and Joan'

Season 4 of CBS' hit TV series "Elementary" is now drawing close to an ending and the fans better expect more explosive and shocking developments that are about to unfold.

Spoiler alert for those who missed "Turn It Upside Down," Sherlock Holmes, Joan Watson and Captain Thomas Gregson looked into the tragic death of Emil Kurtz – Watson's insider in Morland's company. The younger Holme's was quick to pinpoint the deed to his father but it was actually a person from his past, an old nemesis, who was behind the murder.

This theory will soon be proven in the remaining episodes of the season and they might not like what they are about to find out.

The synopsis from The Futon Critic for the episode titled "The Invisible Hand" says that the sleuthing duo will discover the perpetrator behind the attempt made on Morland's life which has a "shocking connection to themselves."

The elderly Holmes will expectedly confront his son about this, as teased in the promo trailer for the episode. The clip begins with the two detectives talking with Sherlock finally admitting that his father may not be the one who is pulling the strings. The characters are then found walking into a crime scene, Sherlock declares rather ominously that there can't be peace until they get into the bottom of all this.

The next moment then shows Watson at the police station where one officer warns her to get down as shots are being fired. Chaos ensues as glimpses of a bomb timer strapped in a water dispenser are shown, and Morland shouting at the top of his lungs, urging Sherlock to "stop lying." The video ends with Watson wondering if there's still someone that Sherlock trusts. The man answers that she's one of them.

Find out how these events unfold when the penultimate episode of "Elementary" Season 4 premieres this Sunday, May 1 at 10 on CBS.
