Elizabeth Berkley 'Saved By The Bell Reunion' Excites Fans (VIDEO)

Elizabeth Berkley reunited with "Saved By The Bell" co-star Mario Lopez this week, causing a firestorm on social media.

"Saved By The Bell" fans flooded Twitter when the famous actors from the televisions series reunited on Wednesday, nearly two decades after the show ended.

Best known as their "Saved by the Bell" characters Jessie Spano and A.C. Slater, respectively, Berkley and Lopez caught up on "Extra Tv." The actors talked about their days as co-stars as well as Berkley's latest appearance on "Dancing with the Stars," and even joined forces on a dance routine.

Lopez, who appeared on "DWTS" in the past, approved of Berkley's dance moves.

"Tango time with my girl, so proud of you," Lopez posted to Twitter following the reunion.

Berkley also posted about the encounter, writing, "Dedicating today's #throwbackThursday to @mariolopezextra!! Thank you for all your #DWTS support this week! #SBTB"

The actress also added a photo taken of herself with Lopez on set of "Saved By The Bell" many years ago.

Meanwhile, Berkley is gearing up for the exciting 17th season of "DWTS." The 41-year-old actress is paired with professional dance Val Chmerkovskiy, with whom she made her debut on the dance floor on Monday.

For their first performance, Berkley and Chmervoskiy earned 24 points for their contemporary dance. The score tied them in second place with fellow contestants Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff.

However, the competition is stiff during this season of the hit ABC show. Berkley is vetting for the mirrorball trophy against fellow celebrity contestants that include "Glee" star Amber Riley, Bill Nye "the Science guy," and "Jersey Shore" star Snooki, among others.

Following Monday's season premiere, Riley and her partner Derek Hough are in the lead. To see the first couple headed for elimination this season, tune in to "DWTS" Monday on ABC at 8 p.m. EST.
