Eminem's upcoming album could feature an appearance from comedian Chris Rock.

The actor and stand-up icon tweeted out a message that read "in the studo with Em don't sleep." The tweet also featured a picture of the two with Eminem standing at a mic stand with Rock at his side looking into the camera.

Chris Rock has appeared on hip-hop records in the past. In 2010, he was featured on a short skit on Kanye West's "Blame Game" off his My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album.

Eminem has never used a comedian on any of his older albums. However, he has included comedic skits on most of his records that are usually performed by him or his manager Paul Rosenburg.

His next solo album is rumored to be released on July 2.

The date was announced by Michigan radio station Channel 95.5, but neither Eminem nor his record label have officially confirmed this date, or any release date for that matter.

Eminem first announced he was working on a new solo album back in August when he phoned in to the Channel 95.5 radio station in Detroit.

"I actually started my album," said Eminem to the station. "But I haven't fully went in yet because I've been finishing up this Slaughterhouse record. I've kind of been really hands-on with this album for the past year."

At that time, Eminem did not confirm a release date for his next LP. He also updated the station on his relationship with rapper 50 Cent, who also will drop a new album this year titled Street King Immortal.

"Ever since [Shady/Aftermath Records] started making music with [50 Cent], it was always like a mutual respect thing and we became friends outside of music," said Eminem. "50 is very big on the business aspects of his career. I would consider him a smart business man. Not saying that I'm not, but I don't get into as much of the technical aspect in the business sense."

Eminem's last solo album Recovery was released in 2010 and has sold over 4 million copies in the U.S. alone.
