'Empire' Season 2 Episode 6 Spoilers: Cookie & Lucious Team Up To Find Hakeem, Try To Keep Their Family Together
Season 2 of "Empire" will be taking a short break in a week and set to return with its sixth episode on November 4. This is to accommodate the World Series that is being held the coming week. The previous episode of "Empire" had a shocking end as viewers saw Hakeem get kidnapped by a gang of thugs.
The sixth episode titled "'A High Hope For A Low Heaven" will see Cookie and Lucious calling a truce and getting together to find Hakeem and also to protect their family as they become aware of the dangers their sons might be in.
The synopsis for Episode 6 will have Lucious Lyons, played by Terrence Howard, and Cookie Lyons, played by Taraji P. Henson, coming together despite their differences. The promo shows the two working together to try to find who has taken Hakeem. They now understand that their family is in danger. Their other son, Jamal, wants to help them but Lucious and Cookie are afraid for him as they fear he too will be kidnapped so they caution him to stay away from the situation until it is resolved.

To this end, Cookie and Lucious will help Jamal to refocus his energies into creating new music as Jamal works towards repairing his image of a 'gay artist.'
However, viewers shouldn't expect love to blossom between Cookie and Lucious as Cookie seems to have a new romance going on. In the trailer of Episode 6, Cookie is shown kissing the new concert promoter, Laz, played by Adam Rodriguez.
In the previous episode, Cookie seemed impressed with Laz's good looks and his work ethics and flirts with him. Laz had saved her after two goons had broken into Lyon Dynasty. Will this new romance of Cookie and Laz make Lucious angry? With a willing Laz, Cookie will take their romance further.
Here Hakeem will face a rough patch as he is in the hands of his kidnappers. What will happen to him? Will Cookie and Lucious be in time to save him?
Episode 6 of "Empire" titled, "A High Hope For A Low Heaven," will air on Fox on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 9 p.m. EDT.
