Behind them are the Swiss with 15 points with five wins out of their seven appearances in the tournament.

England have been unstoppable so far in the competition and their last performance showed their scoring prowess.

Against minnows San Marino, Wayne Rooney, Theo Walcott, Ross Barkley and Harry Kane found the back of the net in the 6-0 thrashing.

The visitors dominated every facet of the game, taking 10 shots while holding 73% of the possession to keep the hosts always stumbling in defence.

Rooney and company kept the pressure on throughout the match that gives a signal to the rest of the teams they have to play that they are not taking things lightly despite being at the top of the table.

Meanwhile, Switzerland hosted Slovenia in their match and the hosts were in a bit of trouble early in the match.

They found themselves down 2-0 after 48 minutes and needed to pick up the pace or drop three points against a team wishing to take their place in the standings.

The Swiss players delivered as Josip Drmic scored in the 80th minute to cut the lead in half before Valentin Stocker tied the match after four minutes.

Drmic scored against in the fourth minute of injury time to complete the comeback and give Switzerland a 3-2 win.

That resolve should give Switzerland some hope that they can make a comeback as they have already tasted defeat in the hands of England in their earlier meeting – which resulted in a 2-0 win for the Englishmen.
