The film will pick up where the TV series left off, which is about the continuing acting career of Vincent Chase as well as his relationship with his "entourage" of friends, Deadline reported.

The life of Vincent Chase is loosely based on Mark Wahlberg's personal experiences and journey towards stardom. Wahlberg served as the show's executive producer and will also be in the upcoming movie.

The TV series, which ended its eight-year run on September 2011, has been known for featuring celebrities in guesting and cameo roles. Among the many include Peter Jackson, Kanye West, Tom Brady, LeBron James, Matt Damon and James Cameron.

There has been no trailer released yet about the film which could give its fans some teasers. However, cast member Emmanuelle Chriqui did shed some light on what's going to happen.

In an interview with Today, the 36-year-old actress said that the movie "is going to be great!"

"It was like coming home to family. ... After three years being off the air, we just resumed as though we were all together yesterday. It was so fun," Chriqui added. "There is a wedding, but I can't say whose."

"Entourage" the movie is slated to hit theaters June 12, 2015.
