Lara Trump Talks 'Pretty Normal Life' With Husband Eric, Praises 'Loving and Loyal' U.S. President

Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of United States president Donald Trump, opens up about her life as part of the First Family, and how she thinks her father-in-law could change the world.

In an interview with Hello Magazine, the wife of presidential son Eric Trump had nothing but praises for the current head of state and is confident of what he has to offer to the country.

"I think that, ultimately, my father-in-law will change the United States for the better, restore pride to our country and go down in history as one of the greatest Presidents," Lara said.

"The light that was shed on the dishonesty of the media during the campaign was significant," she went on to say, referring to the flak the president has been receiving.

Lara confessed that the past two years was difficult for the family, saying that they took "a lot of hits and continue to." The silver lining, she believes, is that the challenges made them "closer and stronger."

Lara said that Trump is far from the negative image that he has outside. He described him as "loving," "loyal" and a "wonderful storyteller" who loves large family dinners that are full of laughs and great times.

Being part of the family, of course, also means that Lara will have to up her style game. It does not help that First Lady Melania Trump and Ivanka Trump are setting some serious fashion standards.

"I certainly try to look my best. I think our First Lady, Melania, and my sister-in-law Ivanka have impeccable style," Lara admitted.

"I look to many different women for inspiration but try to make things my own. Each woman is unique and we look our best when we feel confident and comfortable in our own skin," she went on to say.

Despite being thrust in the limelight, Lara and Eric still get to have a "pretty normal life." "Our favorite place to be is our home outside of New York City. It's quiet and relaxing — just the two of us and our dogs. The Secret Service is made up of absolutely wonderful people. We couldn't ask for more patriotic, selfless people to be around us," she stated.
