After Grammy nominee Kehlani Parrish hinted that she attempted suicide Monday, gospel singer Erica Campbell reached out to encourage the young singer and let her know that God still has more work for her to do.

Parrish reportedly made her unsuccessful attempt to end her life after rumors hit the news that she cheated on her boyfriend, NBA player Kyrie Irving. Her alleged attempted suicide made headlines after 20-year-old "Did I" singer shared a photo of herself with an IV in her arm in a hospital bed in an Instagram post that has since been deleted.

"Today I wanted to leave this Earth," Parrish captioned the photo. "Being completely selfish for once. Never thought I'd get to such a low point. Don't believe the blogs you read. ... No one was cheated on and I'm not a bad person. ... Everyone is hurt and everyone is in a place of misunderstanding. ... But as of today, I had no single wish to see tomorrow. ... But God saved me for a reason, and for that I must be grateful. Cuz I'm not in Heaven right now for a reason. On that note, bye Instagram."

Parrish immediately received a flood of support from fans and fellow musicians. One message in particular being from Campbell, also know as one half of the popular duo Mary Mary.

"I don't usually do this. I don't even know this pretty girl or the details of her situation, but I saw her post about her suicide attempt. @kehlani yes, God saved your life for a reason sweetheart," Campbell wrote.

"I'm praying God surround you with his love and his peace. Everything is gonna be alright cause when you search for God you will find him! You Are Loved! Sending Love & Blessings to you," the "A Little more Jesus" singer added.

Oakland-native Parrish achieved initial fame as a member of the teen pop group, PopLyfe, which was a finalist on "America's Got Talent." Since then, entrepreneur and "AGT" host Nick Cannon has taken the troubled young star under his wing. After the recent hospital stint Cannon rushed to be by her side.

He shared a black and white photo hugging Parrish in the hospital, and captioned the image, "Had to go grab my Youngen (sic)!" The father of two vowed to stand by her side, adding the hashtags, "#Family #LoveHug #NeverLettingGo #NeverLeavingHerSide #IGotYouForLife #UsAgainstTheWorld."

In the past, Parrish has spoken about her admiration for Cannon, claiming that he helped her out of homelessness so she could pursue her dreams.

"Before Nick Cannon, I was homeless," she told Billboard.com last year. "I was just in Oakland, I had one song out, and I had never really written too much before. He came from a standpoint of someone I had met a long time ago on 'America's Got Talent.' He saw my potential back then and he waited around to see what I grew into, and he saw a young girl who needed some help in the area where no one should really be struggling."

"Simple things like having a place to lay my head and having a safe place to write music. He really gave me that. He gave me a place to rest my head. As a young woman not having a father figure or any type of supportive male role in your life, that's what he gave to me. He was kind of like a father figure."
