Eva Longoria recently confirmed that she and New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez are dating, four months after her split from Eduardo Cruz.

In an interview with her friend Mario Lopez, the 37-year-old actress admitted that she and Sanchez, 25, are indeed more than friends.

"Mark and I are, you know, fine," a hesitant Longoria told the "Extra" host at The Grove in Los Angeles on Sept. 13.

"We're happy just dating," Eva added after being pressed by Lopez, whom she playfully snipped at for asking the personal question.

The former "Desperate Housewives" star was spotted on two dates with Sanchez in June: once shopping at a Kings supermarket in Bedminster, N.J. on June 4 and the following evening, the pair was seen dining with friends at New York's Hotel Griffou. That night, Longoria donned a blonde wig in a likely attempt to disguise her appearance.

"It looks like they're testing the waters. They were laughing and having a great time," a source previously told In Touch magazine.

The new romance comes months after Longoria ended her relationship with Cruz, who is the 26-year-old brother of actress Penelope Cruz.

The twice-married actress began dating Cruz in Feb. 2011 just a few months after ending her marriage to NBA star Tony Parker.

Longoria filed for divorce from the San Antonio Spurs point guard in 2010 citing "irreconcilable differences" after allegedly finding inappropriate text messages that he had sent to Erin Barry, the former wife of one of his teammates.

Cruz reportedly helped Longoria overcome the heartache of her failed marriage, although they eventually split in May.

"The truth is, I should be angry, resentful, and disillusioned about relationships. But I'm not. I was very lucky to find [Cruz]," Longoria once told Vanity Fair magazine.

"There's a reason I fell in love and got married. I believed in it. Love did not work with that person. But it can work with another," she added.
