Eva Longoria is opening up about her relationship with New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez and trying to hook up his second string teammate Tim Tebow with a date in the process.

Longoria, 37-year-old actress, recently appeared on late night talk show "Chelsea Lately" where she came clean about her 25-year-old quarterback boyfriend. When the show's host Chelsea Handler asked if the pair had been dating for a while Longoria responded, "For a second. He's focused right now on football."

Handler then told Longoria that she had interest in dating an athlete.

"We should set you up with [Tim] Tebow!" Longoria said.

The comedian and late night talk show host didn't seem to take Longoria's offer too seriously.

"Tebow," Handler questioned. "Oh yeah, that would be a perfect match for me."

Longoria was just as quick-witted in her response to Handler saying, "We could double-date!"

While Tebow has yet to comment about any possibility with Handler, the football star did make it known what type of woman he is interested in. The 25-year-old devout Christian athlete spoke to Sheknows.com in July to say his mother Pam and sisters Katie and Christy were the women in his life that any future girlfriends would have to measure up against.

"I have been so blessed with having great role models around me, number one my mom and two great sisters," Tebow said. "It's hard for a lot of girls to measure up."

Although Tebow has been linked to various stars like Taylor Swift, Dianna Agron and Katy Perry, he insisted that he has yet to settle down.

"I am not in a relationship," Tebow told Sheknows.com.

Still, the football player knows that he wants "someone that is passionate, that cares, who is a sweet, kind person, and has a great heart and a big heart."
