Evelyn Lozada recently revealed that she does not hate ex-husband Chad Johnson despite the fact that he physically assaulted her and she is not interested in other people's opinions on the matter.
Lozada, the 37-year-old reality television star, is gearing up for the fifth season of her hit show "Basketball Wives." However, the TV personality, author and entrepreneur has had to address issues with her ex-husband while promoting her upcoming reality show.
One month after marrying Johnson, an NFL free agent, the professional athlete physically assaulted Lozada after an argument ensued about his infidelities. While some questioned Lozada's role in the matter, the reality television star said she takes responsibility for the public image that she displayed for audiences that tune into her reality television show in Vibe magazine.
Six months after the domestic dispute took place, Lozada said she does not hate her ex husband.
"At the end of the day, I don't really care what anyone says. That's my ex husband ... I wish him the best. We don't hate each other," Lozada revealed in a HipHollywood.com report. "Something happened, we'll forever be connected because of it. But I still have relationships with his kids and that's something that means something to me."
Lozada admitted that she still cared for Johnson and wished him well.
"Everyone can have an opinion about that, we genuinely care about each other," Lozada told Hip Hollywood. "I wish him the best."
Lozada said fans will get to see her overcome the emotions stemming from her situation with Johnson on "Basketball Wives" and said she is proud of the show.
"I'm really, really proud of this season because the world sees us growing. And we're very transparent. I think that's why so many people love our show because we show all sides," Lozada told Hip Hollywood. "Bad, great, angry, crying … so we're just very open and I think this season a lot of people will find it very emotional because all of us are going through something individually."
