Everton vs Southampton Live Stream: Watch Premier League Soccer

Everton will host newly promoted Southampton today at Goddison Park and will look to continue their strong Premier League start after they faltered midweek against Leeds United in the League Cup.

David Moyes will surely have his side ready after an impressive 3-0 win against Swansea City last Saturday. Everton currently sits in third place in the Premiership and with a positive result could sit on top should Chelsea or Manchester United falter today.

Everton will also field several regular starters who were left out of the match against Leeds United to rest. American international Tim Howard will be back in between the posts along with Leighton Baines who will assume his left back position.

Baines has had a solid start so far during this year's campaign and with his ability to push up the pitch Southampton would be wise to draw extra attention to the left side. Baines has been one of the reasons Everton's offensive threat must be taken seriously.

For Southampton they will have to contend will a few players missing today's fixture due to injuries picked up during the club's win on Wednesday in League Cup play.

Midfielder Jack Cork will be out for up to six weeks after coming off the pitch against Sheffield due to a knee injury. Striker Emmanuel Mayuka also left the pitch with an ankle injury and it is a toss-up over whether or not he plays against Everton.

To make the Saints job even more difficult is the fact that Everton is currently on a seven game unbeaten streak against the Saints, with 1997 being the last time the Saints won at Goodison Park, coupled with the fact that Everton has only lost once in the last 15 league games.

Kick-off for the match is at 10:00 a.m. EDT and can be watched online here.
