Exes Arnold Schwarzenegger, Maria Shriver Reunite for Son Patrick's Graduation

On Saturday, Patrick Schwarzenegger finally graduated from college and to support him in his new accomplished milestone, his parents, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver were present.

In a sweet photo that Patrick shared on Instagram, his father smiles at the camera as Shriver reaches up to give him a kiss on the cheek. He captioned the photo: "Wouldn't be anywhere without these two. Thank you for everything and love yah both."

The proud parents also took to Instagram and in their own pages shared their sentiments regarding their son's achievement.

According to ABC News, the 22-year-old model graduated from the University of Southern California, where he started schooling in 2012. He has three other siblings: Katherine, 26, Christina, 24, and Christopher, 18.

In 2011, Shriver and Schwarzenegger announced their split, following the latter's confession that he fathered a son with their long-time and former housekeeper, Mildred Baena.

Last year, the veteran actor talked to Howard Stern about his split from Shriver, acknowledging his fault. According to People, the 68-year-old said, "Without any doubt. Not only failure, but you feel like, 'I'm to blame for it. It was me that screwed up.'"

His son with Baena, Joseph, is now 18 years old and according to the "Terminator" star, all is doing well within the family as Joseph is one who understands the situation. While he admitted that the situation was tough not only for Joseph but also for his kids and his former wife, he already apologized to the people involved.

Patrick's graduation day seemed to resonate his father's statements last year as the pictures reveal that there is no more anger between his parents, despite their 25-year marriage being ended by an affair.

When the former couple announced their split, they made it clear in a statement that they will continue to raise their kids together. Though the separation was announced five years ago, the two have not yet finalized their divorce.

It is unclear what Patrick is planning to do now that he has finished college but some suggest that he may follow his father and ancestors' path: politics. His dad was a former California governor, while his maternal grandparents have also been involved with politics in the past.
