Facebook is launching a "reply" option for users so that people can reply directly to comments left on their page.
The social media company has spent months testing the new feature, which comes after users overwhelmingly pushed for the option.
The change should help users to navigate through conversation threads, so instead of having to leave responses to other users' comments after many others have already also posted, now page owners can address each comment individually.
Under the new feature Facebook will also prioritize comments based on the level of engagement on each thread. So the most active and popular threads will go to the top of the post, and the least popular will drop down.
Vadim Lavrusik, Facebook's journalism program manager, has said in an official blog posting: "You and your readers will have the ability to reply directly to comments left on your Page content and start conversation threads, which will make it easier for you to interact directly with individual readers and keep relevant conversations connected."
He added: "Also, the most active and engaging conversations among your readers will be surfaced at the top of your posts ensuring that people who visit your Page will see the best conversations."
It has been confirmed that users will be able to opt into the new Replies feature through their Page admin panel.
The company has announced that it will bring the feature to all pages that have more than 10,000 followers by July 10, 2013. They also confirmed that users can turn the option off as well.
