Another exciting aspect about this episode is that this is Wyle's first directorial gig.

On related news, the cast members dropped some major details on the current season of the show. According to Conner Jessup, who plays the character Ben Manson, Season 5 will have an ending that will both send a relief and grief to fans.

Speaking during an interview with Buddy TV, Jessup shared some details indicating that some of the characters on the show will have a happier conclusion. The others won't be lucky enough as they would likely be killed off. For his part, the actor was quick to confirm that he is quite glad and content with how the show concluded his character.

"The thrust of the show has been Tom going from a mild-mannered history professor who always protected the civilians and battled with Weaver over military stuff to almost the reverse, where he becomes colder and harder and more aggressive and Weaver almost becomes gentler and more humanistic," Jessup explained.

"Falling Skies" Season 5 Episode 8 airs this Sunday, Aug. 16, at 10 p.m. on TNT.
