Fallout 4 Update: Release Date to Be Announced at the Upcoming EGX 2014?

Loyal fans of Bethesda's Fallout game series has, up to now, been left hanging about the release of the purported sequel of the RPG. Devoid of any official announcements or information regarding its stage of development, some reports are already speculating that there isn't a Fallout 4 at all.

However, a report from Cyberland indicated that the Fallout 4 release date might have already been announced by Bethesda at the EGX 2014. Formerly called as the Eurogamer Expo, this event was recently held in London last Sept. 25 to 28.

The event did come and go, but no rumblings were heard concerning the game.

Talking about rumors, last year, a report from Kotaku said that Fallout 4 was indeed in development for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Members from different gaming community forums believed otherwise that the game's production delays were probably halted as Bethesda was rumored to have passed over the project to Battle Studios.

Still, there are leaked documents indicating that the project might not be called Fallout at all; instead, it will be referred to as The Institute.

The alleged files also mentioned that the main character, to be called as The Player, will have a companion. He will be joined by his great great-grandfather, a veteran in the 1945 war.

Considering all these surmounting speculations and predictions, Pete Hines of Bethesda has finally spoken to debunk the rumors. Although it may take some considerable wait, gamers and fans will just have to wait for the official details that are to be released by the studio itself.
