A fan is suing the Jonas Brothers after claiming she was crushed by a mass crowd of fanatical fans waiting to see the popular group. The fan has claimed that the squeeze caused her serious emotional as well as physical injuries.
Ashleigh Johnson has decided to bring the lawsuit against the Jonas Brothers after the incident at a concert by the band at The Grove in Los Angeles in May 2010.
The concert that day took place in the afternoon, and Johnson has claimed in her lawsuit that the crowd became excited and there was a big push, which pinned her up against the guard fence, according to celebrity news website TMZ.
The crush was so bad that Johnson claims that she suffered serious emotional and physical injuries, which she believes she should be compensated for by the band.
The Jonas Brothers were formed in 2005 after gaining popularity from the Disney Channel children's television network. The band consists of three brothers from the shore region of New Jersey; Paul Kevin Jonas II, Joseph Adam Jonas and Nicholas Jerry Jonas.
In 2008 they starred in the Disney Channel Original Movies Camp Rock and its sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.
The band immediately became hugely popular and has since released four albums: It's About Time, Jonas Brothers, A Little Bit Longer, and Lines, Vines and Trying Times.
In 2008, the group was nominated for the Best New Artist award at the 51st Grammy Awards and won the award for Breakthrough Artist at the American Music Awards.
Currently Nick Jonas is starring on Broadway in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. In addition, brother Kevin Jonas and his wife Danielle are also starring in a reality TV show called Married to Jonas. Meanwhile, Joe Jonas has released his first solo album, FastLife.
