'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' news, cast, spoilers: J.K. Rowling reveals significant plot details

Potterheads around the world are rejoicing after the news that the Harry Potter universe will be more explored in the new spin-off movie "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." Just recently, a list of the official cast was released, following immediately were exciting details dropped by none other than author J.K. Rowling.

According to Vine Report, the movie's timeline is set 70 years before the popular Harry Potter series. Set in the same universe, it has already been cleared that it will be a prequel to the series and goals to widen the knowledge about the wizarding world. The story will revolve around Newt Scamander, a famous magizoologist and writer of the fictional book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. This movie is all about his documentation of magical creatures that he encounters during his travels.

Following J.K. Rowling's screenwriter debut, she was more than happy to please fans by dropping some hints about the movie. She posted on Twitter tidbits about the witch characters, Porpentina, who is also Newt's future wife; and Queenie. She shares, "I feel I owe you a bit of #FantasticBeasts information after you all got behind @Scotlandteam, so let's see... Well, I think it's widely known that the characters of (Porpen)tina and Queenie are sisters, but not that their surname is Goldstein." The last name Goldstein will be familiar to Harry Potter followers everywhere as it is the same with the character Anthony, one of the Ravenclaw students in the Harry Potter books, mentioned first in "Order of the Phoenix." When asked if there was a connection between the sisters and Anthony, Rowling replies "Yes (but distant)."
