While the Harry Potter series already has worldwide following, "Fantastic Beasts" is still beginning to take attention. For people who would like to watch the movie but has never heard of the book, this is a prequel to the Harry Potter series. The movie is set in the 1920s.

The movie stars Eddie Redmayne as the wizarding writer Newt Salamander. The extraordinary writer is set to find the beasts that are on the loose in the city.

But "Fantastic Beasts" is unlike any Harry Potter movie at all. It deals with the deeper and darker times in the wizarding world. This was the time when magical alliances were being formed.

Fantastic Beasts the book

"Fantastic Beasts" the movie is from a 2001 book by Rowling entitled "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." Rowling revealed in a 2001 interview for the book said that she wrote about magical creatures because she has already developed a lot of ideas from the books that she has written in the past. In the original book, Rowling's name was not on the cover but she went by the pseudonym Newt Salamander.

Harry Potter success

News about the sequel to Rowling's movie was announced after "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" was released over the weekend. The Cursed Child was a big hit being the book written by Rowling after ten years. Fans of the Harry Potter series rushed to bookstores from key cities around the world Sunday to purchase a copy. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child's theatrical release also hit the stage in London with a crowd of fans and followers waiting in line for show.

"Fantastic Beasts" will surely be a success with Harry Potter and Rowling fans as it hits cinemas in November. Harry Potter movies earned nearly $8 billion in global box office sales since 2001.
