'Fantastic Four' 2015 News, Update: No Post-Credits Scene, Possible Sequel?

Most of the recent Marvel Cinematic Universe films often end up with end-credit teasers. However, the 2015 reboot of 20th Century Fox's "Fantastic Four" movie franchise won't have one as it hopes to provide a "wide open" plot for a possible sequel.

This is what actor Jamie Bell revealed to MTV News at Comic-Con International this weekend.

"No we don't, there's no post-credits sequence," the star who portrays the new Ben Grimm/The Thing in the forthcoming Marvel big screen offering explained. Needless to say, the reality of the follow-up project, which has been given with a June 9, 2017 release date, will be largely dependent from the success of the initial film.

"It does leave the door wide open for a lot of different movies. I think this movie really focuses on the origins of each character individually, how they get their powers, how they learn to deal with them, how they learn to harness them, how they figure out that they're all stronger as four than they are as individuals, and kind of that's where the movie ends. There's so much more to go from, there. It leaves the door open."

Along with Bell, "Fantastic Four" will also feature the acts of Kate Mara as Sue Storm/ Invisible Woman, Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch and Miles Teller as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic.

According to earlier reports, the 2015 Marvel movie will be based heavily on the Ultimate Fantastic Four comic book series written by Mark Millar and Brian Michel Bendis.

"Fantastic Four" (stylized as Fant4stic) opens in theaters August 7, 2015.
