The synopsis, shared at The Futon Critic meanwhile said that "an unexpected turn of events at a diner disrupts the lives of the citizens in a small Minnesota town."

Series creator Noah Hawley previously told Variety.com that although Season 2 is a complete departure from the original series, fans will still get to see some familiar elements shared between the two seasons.

Hawley, however, reiterated that not only will the story and the cast change, but also its style.

"It is a complete reinvention," the showrunner said (via Variety). "It is a completely new story. It evokes the things you remember from the movie and at the end of the first year."

These details were further discussed by Hawley in the recently-released featurette titled "First Look," which can be seen below.

"Fargo" Season 2 premieres this Monday, October 12, on FX.
