Farrah Abraham on 'Couples Therapy' Despite Being Single

"Teen Mom" star Farrah Abraham is reportedly filming for VH1's "Couples Therapy" despite being single. The 22-year-old wants to find out why she has not had successful relationships and managed to get herself on the show despite lacking a partner.

"Farrah is definitely appearing on the next season of VH1's 'Couples Therapy.' She was desperate to be on it last season, but since she couldn't get anyone to go on it with her, Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra from 'Teen Mom' were cast instead," an inside source told Radar Online.

"Well, she still can't find anyone to go on the show with her so they are allowing her to appear solo! Basically they are going to bring people from her past – family, friends, ex-boyfriends – to help her understand why she can't make any of her relationships work and they fail," the source added.

One significant person missing from Abraham's past is former boyfriend and father of her daughter, Sophia, Derek Underwood. He was killed in a car accident before Sophia was born, and his death heavily impacted Abraham's life and relationships. Abraham has also had a love-hate relationship with her parents, and the three attended family counseling together before she moved out of state.

Abraham reportedly wanted to be on "Couples Therapy" so much that she was willing to have a friend pose as her boyfriend in order to qualify for the series. Radar Online verified text messages between Abraham and friend Carson Underwood earlier this year.

"Farrah and Carson met at an American Music Awards after party last year and stayed in touch," a friend previously told the website. "She sent him a confidentiality agreement and it had all these clauses about how he would just 'work for hire.' He was never really interested in Farrah and certainly not interested in faking a relationship with her."

Abraham recently tweeted that "filming is no joke," leading many to wonder exactly what she is working on. It could certainly be "Couples Therapy," if rumors are to be believed. Filming is taking place now and the show is expected to air in 2014.
