'Fast and Furious 8' Spoilers, Release: World Premieres on April 2017

Not long after the latest "Fast and Furious" sequel, "Furious 7" was released in cinemas and garnered record-breaking success, executive producer and one of the film's protagonists Vin Diesel announced that the next installment for the film franchise is already underway. The sequel is scheduled to have its world premiere on April 17, 2017.

The stage has also already been prepared for the next installment in the "Furious" series. Minor modifications to the original endings have been made including Kurt Russell's character "Mr. Nobody," which will play a vital role in the next installment, according to News Everyday.

Recent updates have also been made from producer Neal Moritz, revealing more information about the forthcoming movie. Moritz stated in an interview that the "Furious 8" team is presently focusing on putting forward the right screenplay. The movie is also going to have a new director with reports saying that the sequel is going to be directed by Justin Lin, who headed the last several films in the "Fast and Furious" series.

Albeit Paul Walker's character was not killed in "Furious 7," the eighth installment will no longer make use of the CGI version of Walker. It was also decided that the plotline of the sequel will begin anew, one that will not need the presence of Brian O'Connor nor his on-screen wife Jordan Brewster, Jobs N Hire reported.

O'Connor was last seen at the end of "Furious 7" going his own way before saying goodbye to Dom, which indicates that the character has moved on in the franchise. The producers may still try to delve into stories that needs exploring like the whereabouts of the characters or how they are going about with their lives, but Moritz did not provide further info about it since it is a planning stage.

Diesel previously shared that the plan of continuing the series was because of Walker.

"Paul used to say that 8 was guaranteed and, in some ways, when your brother guarantees something, you have to make sure it comes to pass," Diesel said. "So, if fate has it -- fate, F8 -- then you'll get it. Furious 7 was for Paul; 8 is from Paul."
