'Fast and Furious' Forza Horizons 2 Expansion Pack Set for Xbox One, Xbox 360

A recent collaboration from Turn 10 Studios, who brought the Forza Horizon racing game series, and Universal Pictures, producers of the popular high-octane racing movie franchise "Fast and Furious," is set to bring a standalone F&F-inspired expansion pack.

Aptly called "Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious," the expansion will be developed by Forza Horizon 2 studio Playground Games exclusively for Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Slated to arrive on March 27, the game is intended to promote the anticipated opening of the "Furious 7" movie which will feature Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, and more others, including the late Paul Walker.

Xbox Live Update website noted that for those gamers who weren't able to buy Forza Horizon 2, this is their chance to get into the game as it will be offered for free until April 10. Following that date, the expansion game will be sold at $10.

Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious will see players getting recruited by F&F mechanic Tej Parker, to be voiced by the film's cast member Ludacris. The driver will then be tasked to source out vehicles which will be used for F&F team's next big mission.

"You'll take part in a series of thrilling car challenges set in the idyllic south of France, and inspired by both the 'Fast & Furious' movies and Forza's awesome, pulse-pounding gameplay," according to the press release.

Meanwhile, the game will feature a number of cars, which can also be seen in the movie, including the 1998 Toyota Supra, the 1970 Plymouth Road Runner, the 2012 Nissan GT-R, the 2015 Dodge Charger and more others.

"I hope what we're doing here is a model for what we do in the future. It's been a great relationship, and I don't want to end it after this, so we'll see what's possible in the future," Turn 10 Studio's Alan Hartman spoke about the recent partnership with Universal.
