'Fear The Walking Dead' Finale News, Update: Showrunner Dave Erickson Gives Hints Of The Show's "Deadliest" Episode

Time flies fast and the finale of AMC's hit TV series "Fear The Walking Dead" is already fast approaching. Given the degree of suspense and thrill the previous episodes have offered, the Season 1 closer is nonetheless expected to be an intense one.

In fact, taking the words of the show's creator, Dave Erickson (via International Business Times), fans should better brace themselves for the "most shocking" turn of events in the series.

"It will be the deadliest episode of the season. There's a ticking clock," Erickson told The Hollywood Reporter.

As he divulged to the media outlet, Travis, Madison, Daniel, Alicia and Chris will find out that the community they once thought to be an infected-free zone is not safe anymore. Perhaps one of the factors that could bring down this scenario is Daniel's decision to open the gates of the auditorium.

For those who missed last week's showing (spoiler alerts), Daniel tortured a National Guard, who also turns out to be Ofelia's lover. He found out about the auditorium which holds around 2,000 people, all of which are assumed to have already turned. Unlocking the doors would certainly bring havoc to the whole of Los Angeles.

Adding to the pressure, this time on Travis and Madison's side, is their concern about Nick and Liza. Nick was being held inside a hospital camp which turns out to be a place where suspected patients are being put to an end. Among those unlucky is Daniel's wife, Griselda.

Talking about the hospital camp, the scene introduced a "closer" guy that ended up rescuing Nick from the clutches of the military. Played by Colman Domingo, the newcomer named Victor Strand turns out to be a wealthy individual who is also a survivor and would often resort to dirty means in order to achieve his goal.

Erickson told THR that Strand "will be very important in how the season ends and where we go in season two."

Don't miss the season finale of "Fear the Walking Dead" which airs this Sunday, October 4, on AMC.
