'Fear the Walking Dead' News, Update: New Teaser Reveals a Quick-Spreading Illness Hitting Multiple States

Anticipation is already building up for the premiere of AMC's upcoming small screen offering "Fear the Walking Dead." Just this week, a new sneak peek was released by the network featuring a conversation between Madison (Kim Dickens) and a student.

The teenager appears to be worried about what he learned online.

"Reports from five states, they don't know if it's a virus or a microbe … they don't know but it's spreading," the youth says.

"You need to spend less time online," the school staff member replies.

In an effort to appease the student, Madison seems to debunk the information as nonsense from unknown individuals.

"The authorities would tell us!" she declares, while the boy only smirks at her statement.

Earlier last week, AMC also posted a short video featuring Frank Dillane's Nick. The character appears to be running for his life, away from something dangerous.

Centred in Los Angeles, but filmed in Vancouver, "Fear the Walking Dead" is bound to tell the events on the early days of the zombie apocalypse which, according to earlier reports, took place while "The Walking Dead" character Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) is still in a coma.

Besides Dickens and Dillane, the series is also set to feature the acts of Cliff Curtis as Travis (Madison's boyfriend), and Alyscia Debnam-Carey as Alicia (Madison's daughter) among many others.

"Fear the Walking Dead" premiere this August on AMC. Watch the trailer below:
