Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie announced Monday on Twitter that she would be a mother.

Rumors that the Black Eyed Peas star was pregnant surfaced earlier in the month after Fergie escorted her husband, Josh Duhamel to the premiere of "Safe Haven." Reports said that it appeared Fergie was sporting a baby bump.

"Josh & Me & BABY makes," Fergie wrote Monday on Twitter, announcing her pregnancy with Duhamel whom she married in 2009.

Duhamel had previously kept quiet on whether or not his wife was expecting. When asked if there was any new news regarding Fergie being pregnant at last, Duhamel replied with a quick "no" to E! News reporters. In the past, both Duhamel, 40, and Fergie, 37, have admitted that they are interested in starting a family.

"I've always wanted to be a dad. I just can't wait to have a little rugrat running around," Duhamel said during a Redbook interview. "I used to want five or six kids, but maybe I've become too self-absorbed over the years. I think two would be perfect."

The star announced her pregnancy alongside a photo of Duhamel as a child, with a picture of herself as a child photoshopped in. Representatives for the singer also confirmed the news, according to CBS.

As far as gaining weight during pregnancy, it would also appear that Duhamel doesn't care one way or another. When asked whether he liked her gaining weight for a role, he admitted that it was nice though.

"I just love her; her size doesn't matter," he told Redbook. "But I have to admit, it was kind of fun having a little bit more to grab onto."
