Final Fantasy 15 PS4 Release Date: Demo Release Set for Early 2015, Game Already at 50 Percent Completion
Final Fantasy XV has been on and off the radar for quite a long time now. Since it was announced in 2006, fans have been wondering about its current status. Just recently, FF 15 project director Hajime Tabata announced that the game is "roughly 50-60 percent complete."
Aside from the game's current status, Twinfinite said in their report that a demo for the game is coming soon. They cited Dengeki's interview with Tabata, who shared some insights on what to expect in the upcoming demo:
"I think in general the play time is about an hour. However, that's if you use the car to get around," he explained. "By the way, you can also play it for additional challenges, so you can spend more time with it. For example, in order to obtain a strong weapon, you can venture into the dungeon that has monsters stronger than the ones above ground."
In a similar report by IGN, they pointed out that the Final Fantasy XV demo will likely take place in early 2015 for PlayStation 4. Said to be released alongside Final Fantasy Type-0, the game demo for FF 15 is promised to give "four hours of gameplay."
The details mentioned were actually shared by the project director himself during an interview at the Tokyo Game Show 2014. He further said that the demo is already 80 percent complete, "while the game is at 55 percent."
"You'll get the opportunity to drive around, in which case you can expect the demo to last for 3-4 hours. Should you elect to walk everywhere, that will extend how much time the demo takes you to play through," Tabata said.
