'Final Fantasy 15' Rumors: What Kind of DLC Will Developers Deliver Next Year?

New story-based additions among the ones expected to be released in 2018

"Final Fantasy 15" is still growing, and that will continue into next year.

Developers have already announced their plan to support the game even when the calendar turns to 2018, but to this point, exactly how they intend to release the additional content has not been pinned down just yet.

Director Hajime Tabata did hint at what he and the other developers may have in mind during a recent interview with Famitsu.

Redditor "xXRaineXx" provided translations of the details revealed during that interview, and interestingly enough, it seems like Tabata and his team may be pondering the creation of a new Season Pass.

It will be interesting to see how fans react to the announcement of a second Season Pass.

As TweakTown pointed out, gamers have historically not been too fond of titles that offer two Season Passes, so there is a chance that the new content may be met with some anger from the community.

For what it is worth, the currently available Season Pass does feature a nice amount of content, including some story-based additions and even a multiplayer expansion. By the time all of the content in the current Season Pass is released, "Final Fantasy 15" players may be happy with all they have gotten from it.

Notably, Tabata also talked about releasing new content related to the main story of the game.

In a previous post on the Square Enix blog, Tabata talked about releasing free updates that would flesh out the game's story even more.

It is possible that small yet significant story-centric additions will also be made available next year, and since these are related to the main narrative, perhaps developers may not charge extra for them.

The good news for players is that the developers may announce their downloadable content plans for 2018 before this year is up, so they may be able to prepare for the additions still coming to the game.

More news about "Final Fantasy 15" should be made available soon.
