Finally, 'Tekken 7' to hit the consoles – announcement coming soon.

Fans have waited for the next game from the Tekken series for too long. So much excitement followed when director Katsuhiro Harada announced via his Twitter handle that he would be attending the Tokyo Game Show 2015 next month. It is rumored that he will unveil the "Tekken 7" console version during the show.

"Tekken 6" was released in November, 2007. The game received good response and also won the VGX Award for Best Fighting Game. "Tekken 7" was announced on July 13, 2014 and the game has had its arcade version released in Japan. There has not been much news for "Tekken 7" hence the excitement surrounding Tekken's producer, Katushiro Harada's, Twitter announcement.

So what is the reason for this delay when fans have been clamouring for "Tekken 7"? Harada has been working on "Tekken X Street Fighter" for PS4 and Xbox One and "Pokken" simultaneously while developing the console version of "Tekken 7".

There is proof that work has been going on with "Tekken 7". After the arcade version of "Tekken 7" was released in a phased manner in Japan in the earlier part of 2015, Harada has been inviting gamers for feedbacks and suggestions to improve on the issues they have encountered. Reportedly "Tekken 6" loaded very slowly on the PS3.

The official release dates for "Tekken 7" on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles have still not been revealed but gamers are expecting an announcement from Bandai Namco regarding the console versions at the Tokyo Game Show in September 2015.

A new character, namely Catalina, was introduced at the event last year. Possibly more new characters might be announced for "Tekken 7" this year. Fans of the game have also been clamouring for the inclusion of archrival sisters Anna and Nina Williams in "Tekken 7."

The answer as to why does Heihachi want to kill his grandson, Jin Kazama, might be revealed in "Tekken 7". Already Harada has hinted at a 'very detailed background story' that will flesh out the Mishima clan.

Now, fans will have to wait till the Tokyo Game Show 2015 next month and see what Harada has in store for them.
