'Finding Carter' Season 2 Summer Finale News: Actress Kathryn Prescott Says Testifying Against Lori is 'Too Much Responsibility'

MTV's hit family TV drama series "Finding Carter" is now closing in on the summer finale on its second season and things are definitely getting heavy -- especially for Kathryn Prescott's Carter.

The titular character is now on the verge of sitting in the witness stand, where she could either send her biological mother Lori Stevens (Milena Govich) to prison or at least stop her from getting her much desired custody over Carter.

Needless to say, this should come off as an "intense level of melodrama" for a 17-year-old girl who firmly believes that this issue should long be over.

"It's borderline abusive. I feel like she's being given too much responsibility in a case where she has no objectivity," Prescott told Zap2It. "It shouldn't be her responsibility, and it's really going to mess her up for a really long time."

"Her main feeling is, 'How the f--- is this still happening? How do we not have a restraining order against this woman?" she continued. "How is there a jury full of people willing to sit there and listen to this woman's story when she drugged and kidnapped me?"

She may, at some point considers about the "residual feelings" about Lori, being her biological mother. However, thinking of the things she'd done to her makes her feel so determined to end it all.

"Even if she has residual feelings about Lori and her being her mother, it's just over. Every time Carter is kind of like 'Maybe you need help, maybe I'll help you,' Lori does something really stupid and manipulative, then ruins it all," Prescott said. "She's done that so many times now that Carter is done."

"Finding Carter" Season 2 Episode 12 "I'm Not the Only One" airs this Tuesday, June 16, at 10 p.m. on MTV.
