'Five Nights at Freddy's 5' News: 'FNaF World' Not Fifth Installment in Franchise
With a horror theme that has taken the gaming world by fire, it is only reasonable that fans went crazy when creator Scott Cawthon announced that he will be working on a new game. However, fans have since been divided after he declared that the upcoming game is "Five Nights at Freddy's World."
While some fans predicted that it will be the fifth installment in the franchise, Cawthon insisted that it's not as the upcoming game will be the franchise's spin-off. Cawthon wrote on the official Steam page that the game will "not be a horror game, but a role playing game."
He further explained that players will enjoy the adventure since they will be allowed to start parties using characters from the previous games. The wide range of characters to choose from will come from the classic, withered, toy, phantom, and nightmare versions.

According to Christian Today, though, the Scott Games team might not be able to come up with a demo on the initial date that it is supposed to come out with the "Five Nights at Freddy's 4" update. Cawthon said he will launch a free demo "as soon as it's ready."
Meanwhile, Design & Trend says there are several factors that could affect the way fans will cope with the idea of a new game that's diverting from the usual horror roots that the previous FNaF games have been developed from.
The outlet says the fact that it's unique from the rest of the games in the franchise could either make or break Cawthon's team. On the other hand, it also commends the creator for taking time to work on the new game as it will most likely produce a "more polished" result.
While the previous installments might have cracked the secrets open to players, "FNaF World" is said to offer various secrets such as hidden plots and characters to be unlocked and according to the outlet, this aspect of the game will surely be of interest to fans.
There are still many details that Cawthon has not shared and it seems fans will have to wait until the game releases in 2016 to finally express if expectations have been met or not.
