"For Honor" Closed Alpha Test to Start Sep. 15

"For Honor" is an upcoming hack and slash action game from Ubisoft for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The game is scheduled to go on a closed alpha test for these consoles on Sep. 15, 9 a.m. ET to Sep. 18, 8 p.m. ET. Those who are lucky to be accepted to participate in the "For Honor" alpha test may begin right away. For those who want to sign up, they can head over to the game's website for more details. The closed alpha download for PS4 players is 11.7GB.

Ubisoft is holding the closed alpha test for "For Honor" on the PS4, Xbox One and PC in order to iron out the various kinks in the gameplay. The data they will gather from the qualified testers will help them balance out and adjust some elements in the game to make the game run smoothly when it officially comes out.

According to the official "For Honor" website, accepted alpha test players will have the honor of playing three multiplayer modes and six Heroes in all three maps including Citadel Gate, Overwatch and River Front. According to the PlayStation Lifestyle, Ubisoft intends for the game to have a total of five multiplayer modes and 12 heroes.

'For Honor' Game Modes, Characters
In "For Honor", players will have the chance to fight as warriors in three main factions - Samurai, Viking and Knight. The closed alpha will give players the chance to play Warden, Raider, Orochi, Kensei and new types of warriors Berserker and Conqueror. The multiplayer modes that are playable in the closed alpha test are Duel, Dominion and Brawl.

Furthermore, characters in "For Honor" have different weapons, abilities and armour that can be customized. Gamespot adds that Ubisoft stated that players can also look at how the game progresses when they unlock new items and abilities.

'For Honor' No NDA for Closed Alpha Testers
According to Ubisoft in a blog, "For Honor" closed alpha testers won't have to worry about security as they are allowed to play and upload their progression on their social media platforms. The company hopes for testers to play "For Honor" live online or stream it on websites. This is why the players did not have to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) unlike most games that are in this phase.

"For Honor" will be coming on Feb. 14, 2017 on the PS4, Xbox One and PC. It has been given an ESRB rating of RP.
